Fuller Group Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Lucas Young, PE, SE as Principal and Dean Gunter, PE as Associate.
Mr. Lucas Young began his career as an Engineering Intern with Fuller Group in 2008. He subsequently worked as a Project Manager before recently becoming a Principal with the firm. Mr. Young obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Clemson University in Civil Engineering. Since joining the staff at Fuller, Mr. Young has combined his technical knowledge and passion for business development to help grow the firm in client base and technical ability. He currently manages many aspects of the Structural division including the Health Care, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. Lucas also supports Fuller’s Envelope division by providing structural investigations and serving as an expert witness when called upon for construction litigation.
Lucas is a member of the Structural Engineering Association of South Carolina, the American Institute of Steel Construction, and the Future Construction Leaders of the Upstate. He is a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Idaho, Montana and Utah. As a graduate of Clemson, Lucas loves attending any Clemson sporting event. If he is not at a Clemson game, he is serving at Greenville ARP Church or spending time with his wife and two daughters in Greenville, SC.
Mr. Dean Gunter joined Fuller Group in 2006 and has served as a Project Engineer and Project Manager before his recent promotion to Associate. Mr. Gunter obtained his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and his Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Lander University. Dean has extensive experience in the design of structures for both commercial and industrial facilities. Through this experience, Dean has developed a mastery of the building code requirements for the most extreme environmental conditions including earthquakes, hurricanes and snow storms. Currently he manages Fuller Group’s national accounts providing engineering services in all 48 contiguous United States.
Mr. Gunter is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, and the Structural Engineering Institute. Dean lives with his wife, daughter and son in Easley, SC. Together they enjoy fishing and water sports.
