In 2012, we completed design on the Guardian Center in Perry, GA. The Guardian Center is America’s premier 830-acre disaster preparedness and tactical training validation center. We were tasked to provide structural design for 75 buildings in four months, including two city blocks of multi-story “collapsed” buildings, a multi-story command center with a rooftop helipad, a dual rail mass transit subway system, 16 residential homes in a flood system, blast walls, and a 75-acre urban cityscape. This was one of the most exciting projects we have had the opportunity to work on and we were proud of the success of the project.
