It’s been thrilling to work on the St. Joseph’s expansion in Savannah, GA. Our work in this project included structural design for the Emergency Department, a two-story volume atrium, renovated outpatient areas, drive-through canopies, an ambulance canopy, and a new helipad for the hospital.
As the structural consultants, we’ve had the privilege of working with Batson Associates and JE Dunn Construction Group to bring the dreams of St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital to life. One of Fuller Group’s principal engineers, Lucas Young, was delighted to visit the site a few days before the January 23rd opening day.
The 17,000-square-foot expansion is the first phase of a $21.6 million, 18-month expansion. This investment will bring dramatic progress to the hospital and the way patients are cared for. The completion of this first phase is exciting for all of Savannah.
